Our CNC gives us greater scope for experimental and modern design as we can be innovative with our use of materials and cut intricate shapes, curves, patterns and logos.
We regularly work with architects, furniture designers, makers, shopfitters and other manufacturers.
We have an extensive knowledge of furniture, products, architectural design and manufacture and are on hand to help you design, refine and build your idea.
CNC SERVICE - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT MATERIALS CAN YOU MACHINE?
MDF, plywood, natural woods (PSE and live edge), OSB, Valchromat and Laminates. We currently focus all our expertise on wood so do not cut metal, plastic or foam.
WHAT SIZE MATERIALS CAN YOU MACHINE?
Our machines cutting bed is anything up to 2500mm x 1400mm and can cut 100mm in depth, however, we can work on the top of deeper materials than this (approx 300mm).
WHAT SIZE CUTTERS DO YOU USE?
Typically we use 6mm and 3.175mm end mills with parts spaced 20mm apart on the material.
DO YOU PROVIDE FINISHING AND ASSEMBLY SERVICES?
We have a full furniture workshop so can provide fine sanding and also have on site spray lacquer and painting facilities. We can complete your work flat pack or assemble it for you.
DO YOU DELIVER OR INSTALL?
You can either collect from our Bristol workshop or we can arrange delivery to you. We do not install or work on site but can give directions in order for someone else to do this if necessary.
WHAT ARE THE LEAD TIMES?
This is very dependent on the size of the job and how busy we are at the time. We aim to complete projects within 2 - 3 weeks. We will always give a timescale when sending your quote.
WHAT FORMAT DO YOU NEED MY FILES IN?
We would like your CAD files in DXF or DWG format, with different types of cuts separated onto different layers. Please see the example DXF file below.
